Meet Jennifer Halteh!

Our student highlight of the week.

Written and edited by Dietitian & Snapstudio55 founder Elis Halenko.

Meet Jennifer Halteh, one of our Snapstudio55 students! Jen is a dietitian who loves all things food - especially playing with it! For her, food is comfort, joy and nostalgia. Jen believes that sharing photos of foods is an effective communication tool to connect with others and spread joyful messages about food.

Jen took our food photography and styling courses, so we asked her to give us an inside scoop on her experience and share some of her gorgeous work with us. Check it out below!

What was your favourite part about the course?

I loved how practical it was. Elis shared tips and techniques I was able to implement in my work right away!

How did you feel pre and post taking these courses?

Prior to taking the courses I had no strategy in mind. After taking the courses I was more intentional with my prop setup, colour choice and placement of food.

How are you currently using your new skills?

I use my new skills on my nutrition Instagram page where I share photos of food

What was your transformation from taking the course(s)?

I noticed more engagement online once my photos started looking more appealing. My colleagues also started noticing my elevated food photos

Check out Jen’s work before and after our courses, talk about a transformation! See more of Jen’s beautiful food photography and delicious recipes on her IG @eatsby.jay
